Malabar
Situated on a wide, shallow lot, steeply sloping up from the public domain, the built form has been located in response to these falls, while maximising the water views to the south and solar access to the north.
Timber has been used to ground to the building. Grooved cladding and render add texture to the façade and provide a strong contrast to the polished concrete banding that defines the horizontal planes.
The triple height stair void, centrally located, has been recessed behind the main building line to create two clearly defined residences.
